Waddenorgel
The Waddenorgel (‘Wadden organ’) translates the behaviour of a single mussel into sound. Sixteen organ pipes sound real-time data about the heartbeat and valve position of the shellfish lying in the harbour of West-Terschelling. Over the course of the day, the mussel creates layered sound fields in response to the health of the Wadden Sea.
