Do you have a case of the climate sweats? No reason to panic, but to eat! At least, according to performer Sien Vanmaele. Sien combines theater with culinary art and nutrition: something in between a cooking class and a sensory experience. With climate change as primary motivation she started the ten-part series of 'Kookworkshops ter voorbereiding op het einde van de wereld'. The global pandemic enriched her start of a new interactive performance in a way that nobody could ever have expected.
In each workshop another aspect of food and nutrition gets attention. This is the seventh part of a series that focuses itself on fermentation and seaweed. This time she investigates the possibilities of increasingly popular micro algae as spirulina: is this the food of the future?
