Farnoosh Farnia (Teheran, 1981) is programmer at Oerol of, among other things, the program at De Betonning and the new concept Oerol Upcoming. She is also responsible for diversity and inclusive work at Oerol.
As of October 1, she is also the artistic director of the Amsterdam Fringe Festival in Amsterdam, which annually shows work by young talent at more than 25 locations in Amsterdam in September. The festival fits within Farnoosh's mission to make the performing arts more accessible to young people who do not yet feel represented by them. A role that fits her like a glove.
Farnoosh studied Film and Television Studies and Dutch Sign Language in Amsterdam. She is co-founder of the Mezrab Storytelling School and youth theater DEGASTEN. She was an advisor for Fonds Podiumkunsten and the municipality of 's- Hertogenbosch (art and culture) and a member of the Nederlandse Toneeljury. She is also a coach and guest lecturer at DAS Creative Producing and the AHK Academy for Theatre and Dance.
