Professionals Progam

Harmonic Fields - Lieux publics
The 2012 edition of Oerol will take place from the 15th until the 24th of June. Each year, the festival presents a selection of productions from its own Atelier, as well as dozens of premieres. Renowned as well as talented beginning theatre makers present their work and there’s also an extensive programme filled with small experimental performances, landscape art and many musical shows. The festival is the perfect place to meet up with colleagues, see new performances and to talk with one another about upcoming projects.
To accommodate this, Oerol gives theatre makers, artists, musicians and professionals the opportunity to visit the festival in a professional capacity. You’ll receive a festival pass that grants you access to the festival terrain and you’ll also receive a free passport to experience the musical performances and to visit our passport projects. From may 2012 on you can registre on our site. When registered, you’ll be able to use our special online presale service. There will also be a special guest ticket booth where professionals will be able to buy their tickets. For each organization, a maximum of two people can apply for a professional status. The application for this service has been closed.. Because of the limited availability and space, we won’t be able to grant all applications.
Travel & Accommodations
We do recommend that you book your boat trip and your accommodations on the island as soon as possible. For suggestions we refer you to our Travel and Accommodations page.

This experience comprises a visit to the new production, a specially selected performance followed by talks with other theatre makers and of course, a very copious lunch. Participation Cafe 2011
Partake or Participate? Participation Cafe in collaboration with the Cultural Participation Fund and Coolpolitics.
From spectator to leading lady, from art lover to co organizer. At Oerol 2011, the Cultural Participation Fund organized a healthy discussion between art lovers, amateur artists and professionals about the role society play in the creation of art. A case of cultural crosspollination dealing with the boundaries of cultural participation in a live show hosted by Farid Tabarki, broadcasted from the radio ship in the West harbor.
Oerol 2011 & The Wadden Academy
The Wadden Academy aims to identify gaps in our knowledge of the Wadden Sea Region, to program and facilitate research and to disseminate the outcome. The Wadden Academy and Oerol started an exploration in the possibilities of making a meaningful crosspollination between scientists and landscape/location-based artists who use the Wadden Sea Region as their research area or field in 2010. Many artists are influenced in their work by scientific concepts. Researchers in turn are often interested in the processes and techniques artists use in their work. The Wadden Academy and Oerol are convinced that science and art can be mutually inspiring and therefore this year we have started a multiannual cooperative effort that took shape in four lectures on specific locations, amongst other activities.
